Ballack Clashed With Bierhoff Over Fans’ Banner
Germany captain Michael Ballack had an argument with team manager Oliver Bierhoff when he refused to hold up a thank-you banner for the fans, declaring it “tacky”…

Germany lost the Euro 2008 final to Spain 1-0 on Sunday night, with Ballack losing his second major final of the season and fourth in his entire career, still yet to win one of football’s major tournaments at club or international level.

His frustration looks to have told, with The Sun reporting that the midfielder refused to hold up a banner thanking the fans for their support as it was cheap and nasty.

The idea was scrapped, yet the Germany fans stayed inside the stadium to applaud their beaten finalists in Vienna.

“We had a strong and emotional discussion,” said Bierhoff regarding the incident.

“The German Federation wanted the team to pay tribute to our supporters. Michael didn’t like the banners and thought they were inappropriate.”

wtf!!! Ballack needs to show some respect for the Germany’s fans, I mean, could you imagine a football game without supporter, oh puhlease…
